Bullseye K9 Detection dogs are trained using toys and play as their motivation for searching. Searching for firearms is a game to them and they are happily rewarded with a toy and praise when they find a firearm. They love their job keeping you safe!

Our Vision
Bullseye K9 Detection is founded by a California law enforcement officer with 31 years experience. A total of 15 years of that time was spent specializing in investigating firearms crimes at the local, state and federal level. Keeping the public safe is a passion for me and I have always strived to enhance my effectiveness in that role my whole career. In 2010, I discovered a love for detection dogs while training with a major Bay Area police department's K9 unit. Learning the process of how detection dogs are trained, allowed me to see potential applications of detection dogs to decrease gun violence. That motivated me to create a firearms detection dog program for my department. I handled the pilot detection dog for the program for several years and due to our success, the program later added more detection dogs that are currently deployed statewide.
I witnessed the effectiveness of firearms detection dogs in various environments as a successful deterrent to gun violence, as well as being a locator tool for hidden firearms. The value of firearms detection dogs in this role inspired me to expand their capabilities into public spaces by creating my company, Bullseye K9 Detection. Bullseye K9 Detection allows me to provide a service that proactively deters incidents of gun violence in spaces that don't traditionally have access to highly trained and experienced firearms detection dog teams.
